On November 28, the Rei Jaume I Awards ceremony took place, chaired by King Felipe VI, with Carlota Escutia being one of the winners in the Environmental Protection category. The jury included scientists and experts, including 21 Nobel Prize winners, who debated for hours to select the 6 winners from among the 222 candidates. This well-deserved award is the result of a life dedicated to research and is added to the list of other recognitions, such as the Blaustein Visiting Scholar from Stanford University and the SCAR Medal for International Scientific Coordination.
