As a chemist and biochemist I am fascinated by protein behavior. The high specificity and efficiency in their functions make these macromolecules the most interesting systems in nature from the fundamental and technological point of view. Where these properties lie is the key question to answer. Only two techniques can provide this type of information at a high resolution level, X-ray / Neutron diffraction and electron microscopy. My research is mainly focused on X-ray territory and “surrounding lands”, nucleation and crystal growth.
